Educational Outreach in the Community
As part of its mission, Lee´s Place actively pursues opportunities in the community to provide free education on grief and loss topics. This includes teachers, students of all ages, parents, churches, civic organizations, businesses, juvenile treatment centers, medical personnel and other mental health professionals. Over 1,000 individuals are reached annually through community education efforts.
Lee's Place will speak to your group on topics of grief and loss, some of which include:
- Grief in the Workplace (Response & coping strategies when a colleague or a colleague's loved one dies)
- Teen Suicide
- Depression
- Children and Grief
- Coping with Divorce
- Foster Parent Education
- Loss Associated with Adoption
- Child Abuse
- Parenting through Cancer or other major illnesses
- Anticipatory Grief
- Parenting through Divorce
Since January 2009, Lee's Place has spoken to over 500 individuals at groups, organizations and schools such as:
